One of three beautiful reservoirs north of Bovey Tracey and south west of Moretonhampstead. Tottiford was the first reservoir to be built in what is now Dartmoor National Park. Tottiford was built in 1861 and then expanded four years later.

In summer 2010, Channel 4's 'Time Team' excavated a prehistoric settlement here. The settlement included a stone circle and stone rows.

To explore the area, we'd suggest you stay in either Moretonhampstead or Bovey Tracey. If you're looking for something a little more intimate, try the local village of Hennock.
